Food, My Frenemy
Oh, melty cheese, you temptress sly,
Deep-fried bliss, you wink an eye.
Comforting carbs, a doughy friend,
My cravings sing, and my willpower bends.
But wait! A rumble down below,
A traitorous gurgle, oh no!
This love affair, it comes at a cost,
A belly full, a battle lost.
Pizza Dreams and Burger Towers,
Funyuns, eaten by the hours.
They whisper sweet, then make me groan,
In this love-hate dance, I sign alone.
Food, my frenemy, Oh so dear,
A continual battle, year after year.
My stomach wins, a joyful ache,
But oh, the price my pants will take!

Treasures of the Mind is Golden
Beneath the ribs, a hidden trove,
Where dreams and memories drove
Not jewels of gold, but gems of love,
In whispered thoughts, the heart, a dove.
From laughter’s light to sorrow’s tears,
Each pulse is a story, etched and bright,
Unveil the treasures held so dear,
And in your heart, find inner light.
With thoughts in tons of ready-to-take-flight
Unleash the riches held within, bathed in guiding light

Monthly Blooms
First blooms unfurl, like love’s tender dawn,
Carnations bright, a promise newly born,
Then violets peek, with hues both rich and deep,
A loyal heart, where secrets safely sleep.
Daffodils dance, with glee they brightly sing.
Sunshine smiles, at the joy spring’s breezes bring.
Daisies unfold, so pure and white and true.
A love so young, with skies forever blue.
Lilies open, a fragrant, humble grace.
May’s gentle touch, upon a loving face.
Roses entwined with honeysuckle’s hold,
Passion burns, a story yet told,
Larkspurs rise, with strength the season grants,
July’s sun, on love’s unwavering plants.
Gladiolus stand, a memory’s refrain.
August sighs, with wisdom’s gentle rain.
Asters bloom, with morning glory’s might.
October’s peace, in harmony’s soft light.
Marigolds gleam, with cosmos by their side,
Longing’s warmth, where love and laughter hide.
Tiny white blooms, a promise reborn,
December’s hush, a new love to be sworn.
